Fish

  • Smallmouth

There’s a reason this fish is found in Beaver Islands logo… From crushing frog patterns to chasing down big streamers, our smallmouth do it all! The clear Mississippi water allows these visual feeders to grow big and brings out their vertical barring along their sides. Our average fish is 16” with 20”+ trophy fish a real possibilities on a daily basis. We typically throw medium to large streamers with high quality 7wt and 8wt rods. Topwater fishing can also be phenomenal at certain times of the year.

  • Musky

Not for the faint of heart, the musky resides at the top the food chain in our rivers. Swimming big flies through likely holding areas always has a chance of raising a 4 footer from the depths. These fish like to follow flies all the way to boat which can often result in a very visual and hectic experience. Whether you’re looking to catch your first musky on the fly, grind all day for a giant, or want a a mixed day of smallmouth and musky; Beaver Islands has options catered to all angler capabilities and levels.
